Church of St. Francis de Sales in Sitiawan
Welcome home

Faith lived
with gentleness.

A Catholic community in the heart of Sitiawan, gathering across languages as one family in Christ.

A place to pray, belong and serve.

Whether you are a parishioner, a visitor to Sitiawan or returning to church, you are warmly welcome.

Founded in 1898, the Church of St. Francis de Sales serves a diverse Catholic community through the Eucharist, prayer and parish life. We celebrate in English, Tamil, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Our Vision: A community of love that welcomes, celebrates, and serves.

Our Mission: Reconciling all things through love.

Parish Pastoral Assembly 2026: Synthesis

Our parish gathered to bridge the generational gap and bring young and old closer in faith.

Elders bring structure, analytical thinking and religious devotions; young people bring flexibility, creativity and a desire for belonging. These are complementary gifts.

Pastoral priorities for 2026

  • Build an inclusive community and welcome those who feel distant from the Church.
  • Heal wounds, protect the fragile and extend Christ’s healing to every generation.
  • Be mission-minded through respectful collaboration with neighbours of other faiths and local organisations.

Moving forward together

Jesus is Lord. Faith and reason belong together. Welcome creativity and dialogue, and make space for everyone to contribute and belong.

Parishioners are invited to reflect and plan next year’s formation, catechesis, events and activities together.

“Do everything through love, nothing through fear.”
